Persons who desire to get rid of and eradicate Brahman Shapas should with complete sincerity, faith and devotion go to Triveni Sangamam (At Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh), take bath in the confluence of the most sacred rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswathi and chant Om Nama Shivaya 1,00,008 times starting from sunrise till sunset.

During the parayan days they should practice complete abstinence from any solid food, fruits (or) drinks. They can only drink plain water purified by Tulsi/Bilva leaves. During night time it is better to sleep on the floor with just a coir mat without any pillow and bed. At the end of each day, offer worship at a Lord Shiva temple and sit in silent meditation. This vrat should be done like a penance.

Thereafter, they can continue the Parayana at their homes during Brahma Muhurtha time (4.00AM to 6.00AM). Note - Any such parayan practice should be started with prayers to Lord Ganapathy, followed by worship of their Kuldevata followed by the prescribed parayan. It is better to consult a learned Vedic scholar for learning the process of prayers and pooja methods.
