Persons who are interested to become mentally pure, remove all sins committed in their life time and for excelling in the Bhakthi of Lord Sri Krishna, they should visit Mathura, Goverdhan, Gokulam,Vrindavan and offer prayers to Sri Krishna, with utmost sincerity, love and single minded devotion.
In addition they should do circumbulation of the Goverdhanagiri mountain, Mathura and Vrindavan. If possible devotees should plant Tulsi saplings in all the 4 places which is certain to reduce the sins committed and accumulated over the ages.
As per Varaha Puranam, the benefit of visiting 600 million thirthas is attained by visiting the theerthams in Mathura. It also states that circumbulating Mathura bestows the benefit of circumbulating 100 times all the holy places in the world.
