Musicians, who are interested in excelling in their chosen path, especially those who play stringed instruments like Veena, Violin, Sitar, they should visit Shri Ranganatha Temple, Srirangam, Trichy District, Tamil Nadu, South India and offer sincere prayers to Lord Ranganatha and meditate on him.

It is especially beneficial if they attend and take part in the Ekantha Veena Seva performed as part of the Ira Pathu Festival, at least as spectators, in the temple.

In addition it is suggested that they sit and mediate on Lord Ranganatha and chant his moola mantra Om Namo Narayana at least 10,008 times continuously, in close proximity to Naazhikaettan entrance and Rajamahendran Sutru, located inside Srirangam temple.

The importance, benefits and sacred nature of Veena can be found in Chandogya Upanishad, Divya Prabandham as well as in Acharya Hridayam.
